AREA will be holding its general election for all office
positions during the second week of May.
President
Vice President K-2 Director
Recording Secretary 3-5 Director
Corresponding Secretary 6-8 Director
Treasurer SpEd Director
The term for the office of President is the 2022/23 and the 2023/24 school years.
The term for all other office positions is the 2022/23 school year.
Nominations are OPEN, which means that anyone who is an active AREA member is eligible to nominate any other active AREA member, including herself/himself.
Anyone interested in running for any of these offices must complete a declaration of candidacy form.

All declaration of candidacy forms must be electronically submitted no later than 4 pm on Monday, May 2, 2022.

Below is a list of important dates regarding Involuntary and Voluntary Excessing, next year's assignment, and placement date. Some of these dates were changed in our recent settlement of our Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Since we are a 10 month employee, we have the option to elect to split our net pay over 12 months: this does not affect your gross wages or taxable income.
Please complete the PAY-103 form attached and submit it to the Payroll Department:
A proposal for an MOU created by members of the site shall be submitted to the Executive Board no later than January 15 of the prior year for the proposed MOU. The proposal shall include the specific changes to the articles of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and the rationale to support the requested changes.
